Level 6 is the culmination of the learn-to-swim program, designed to develop proficient, confident, and highly skilled swimmers. Students participate in fitness-based swimming, including interval training and the use of a pace clock, while mastering stroke mechanics at an advanced level. The focus is on building the endurance to swim 500 yards continuously and applying refined techniques in complex water safety and rescue scenarios. This level prepares swimmers for a lifetime of safe, enjoyable aquatic activity – whether in competition, fitness, or leadership roles.

Skills Mastered:

Swim all strokes with high efficiency

Swim front crawl and elementary backstroke for 200 yards

Swim breaststroke, back crawl, butterfly, and sidestroke for 50 yards

Swim 500 yards continuously using multiple strokes

Execute advanced turns (flip and open) with speed and control

Perform compact dives from a starting position

Use a pace clock for interval training

Demonstrate advanced rescue techniques and respond to water safety scenarios
What to Bring: Swimsuit, towel, goggles, swim cap, and water bottle.
Class Size & Format: Small group (maximum 5 students). 45-minute instructor-led class with integrated fitness components.
Recommended Frequency: Once or twice per week to maintain and advance both fitness and technique.
Progression: Upon completion, students are ready for specialized pathways such as Swim Team Prep, Fitness Swimming, or Lifeguarding Courses.
