Level 4 is where students become more proficient and versatile swimmers. The class focuses on enhancing technique, power, and ease of movement across longer distances. New strokes are introduced to expand each swimmer’s skill set, while advanced techniques like open turns, surface dives, and extended treading water help build a well-rounded swimming ability and a deeper understanding of water safety.
Focus / Goals:

Improve technique and endurance for previously learned strokes

Master advanced skills such as open turns and surface dives
Skills Mastered:

Swimming freestyle and back crawl for 50 yards

Swimming breaststroke and butterfly for 15 yards

Performing the sidestroke

Executing open turns at the wall

Performing streamlined push-offs in various body positions

Treading water using a modified scissors kick for 2 minutes

Performing feet-first surface dives
What to Bring: Swimsuit, towel, goggles, and swim cap. Water bottle recommended.
Class Size & Format: Small group (maximum 5 students). 45-minute instructor-led class.
Recommended Frequency: Once per week for consistent technical improvement.
Progression: Upon mastery, students advance to Level 5: Stroke Refinement.
