PreSchool 2 is an exciting progression for preschoolers ready to take their skills to the next level. This class focuses on transforming assisted water comfort into independent movement and coordinated stroke development. Our certified instructors guide children through a structured yet fun curriculum that emphasizes proper technique and self-reliance. In this positive and encouraging environment, children gain the confidence and ability to perform fundamental swimming skills, building a strong technical foundation for all future swimming.

Skills Developed:
· Independent floating (front and back) for 5-10 seconds
· Confident submersion and underwater exploration
· Freestyle and backstroke motions with and without a kickboard
· Rolling from front to back to rest and breathe
Step-by-step Roadmap (First 4 Weeks):

Week 1 – Building Independence: Reinforcing independent floats and confident submersion. Introducing the “big arms” of freestyle while standing and walking in the water.

Week 2 – Stroke Coordination on Front: Combining freestyle arm motions with flutter kicks while using a kickboard for support. Focusing on straight-leg kicks and face-in-water bubbles.

Week 3 – Introduction to Backstroke: Practicing independent back floating and introducing the alternating arm motions of the backstroke. Kicking on the back with and without support.

Week 4 – Combining Skills for Short Swims: Linking freestyle and backstroke skills to swim short distances (3-5 feet) to the instructor. Practicing the “Roll over” from front to back as an early safety skill.
What to Bring:
Swimsuit, towel, goggles, and a change of clothes. Please ensure long hair is tied back for comfort and safety.
Class Size & Format:
Small group (maximum 5 students). This supportive setting is crucial for delivering the individual feedback needed for proper form enhancement.
Recommended Frequency:
Once per week for consistent technical progress.
Progression:
Upon mastery, children graduate to PRESCHOOL 3, where they will refine freestyle and backstroke over longer distances and build greater endurance.
